Check age, availability, what work is included and any donation request. The provider links are direct, without affiliate tracking. ## Compare the routes before choosing ## What should you know about each option? ## What if you need a will soon? Do not wait for a seasonal campaign if a will is urgent, your health is changing or a marriage is planned. Ask a suitable provider what can be arranged now. A campaign's launch date does not promise a completed will by that date, and an online service still needs time for any checks, printing and proper signing. ## What is different about the October campaign? Free Wills Month is a seasonal route with participating solicitors in selected areas. The next advertised start is 1 October 2026. A place is not reserved by reading this page or using our filter. Check the official site and contact a participating firm when the campaign opens; it can close early when appointments are taken. ## Can you get help outside Free Wills Month? Yes. The year-round options above may be worth checking. You can also ask your employer, trade union or membership organisation whether will-writing help is included in benefits you already have. Ask who actually prepares the will, which people can use the benefit and whether changes cost extra. ## Five questions to ask before accepting a free offer 1. Does the offer cover my circumstances and the jurisdiction where I need a will? 2. Who prepares or checks my document, and what does that check include? 3. Is a donation requested, and is it voluntary? Is there any obligation to leave a gift? 4. What will printing, storage, later changes or complex work cost? 5. What information will be shared with the charity or another company? Agree any additional fees before work begins. A low price does not make a simple document suitable for a complex estate. Yes, there are options to investigate. FreeWills advertises an online service for adults, and Cancer Research UK's service is available from age 18. Will Aid has no 55-plus campaign threshold. Each provider decides whether your situation is suitable. ### Is Will Aid completely free? Participating solicitors waive their usual basic-will fee and invite a voluntary donation. For 2026 the suggested donation is £120 for a single basic will or £200 for a pair. Check any charge for work outside the basic service. ### Are these offers available through SwiftWill? No. Apply directly through the official scheme or provider. SwiftWill has no affiliation with these schemes and receives no referral payment from the links on this page. Its own will-writing service is paid. ### Does a free will avoid signing and witnessing? No. A free document must still meet the relevant legal requirements.
