1. The service
SwiftWill provides legal information and document-preparation software for England and Wales: a guided online interview, rules-based validation of your answers, and a personalised will PDF delivered instantly with a signing instruction card. SwiftWill is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing in the service creates a solicitor–client relationship.
2. Jurisdiction
The service produces documents valid only in England and Wales. Customers with addresses in Scotland or Northern Ireland are excluded before payment; if you purchase despite a non-England-and-Wales address, the document may not be valid and you should contact us for a refund.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are one-time payments in GBP: £35 for a single will, £55 for mirror wills, with an optional £25 solicitor-review add-on. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store card details. There is no subscription, no auto-renewal, no storage fee and no update fee — anywhere in these terms, now or in future versions.
4. Free lifetime updates
Your one-time payment includes free updates for life: re-open your interview, change your answers, and regenerate your will PDF at any time, as often as you like, at no charge. Each regenerated will must be printed and signed with two witnesses to be valid, and you should destroy superseded signed originals.
5. The 30-day money-back guarantee
If you are not satisfied for any reason, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund — no questions, no forms. Full terms at /refunds/, which form part of these terms.
6. The solicitor-review add-on
If purchased, a qualified SRA-regulated solicitor reviews your completed will within 3 working days; any correction the review requires regenerates your PDF free of charge. Delivery of your will is still instant — the review happens afterwards. The review gives you Legal Ombudsman recourse for the reviewed will via the reviewing solicitor's regulation.
7. Your responsibilities
- Answer the interview honestly and completely; the document can only be as accurate as your answers.
- Sign the printed will correctly — wet ink, two independent witnesses — following the included card; an unsigned or wrongly signed will is not valid.
- Tell us if your situation triggers any suitability-check redirect; those situations need a solicitor.
- Keep your account email accessible; it is how updates and regenerated documents reach you.
8. Liability
We carry £2m professional indemnity insurance. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid and the cover available under our professional indemnity insurance, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Because validity depends on correct signing — which happens offline, with your witnesses — we cannot be responsible for execution errors, which is why every delivery includes emphatic signing instructions.
9. Intellectual property
Your will document is yours to print, sign and use. The software, templates and site content remain our property and may not be copied or resold as a competing service.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Last reviewed July 2026.
